Check These Before You Pay
This forum asks for an application fee. That is normal for some events. But you should always check the terms before you pay.
- Know the fee rule. The fee is 29 US dollars. It is refundable only if you are selected in the fully funded category. If you are placed in the partially funded or self-funded category, you should expect to lose it. Another forum from the same organiser has the same rule
- Know the odds. There are 40 fully funded seats. Many applicants will not get one
- Plan for a lower category. If you only get a partial place, you still need to pay for flights, housing and meals unless the organiser says otherwise
- A visa letter is not a visa. An invitation letter helps your visa application. It does not promise that you will get a UK visa
- Pay only on the official site. Do not send money to people who message you on social media
- Find the self-funded fee. Another forum from the organiser listed Direct Access at 399 to 549 euros. I did not see the fee for London. Ask before you choose that route
Mistakes To Avoid
- Thinking every funded seat covers flights and housing
- Paying the fee without reading the refund rule
- Choosing Direct Forum Access before you know your funding result and your total cost
- Forgetting that your visa is your own job
- Missing the deadline of 30 November 2026
- Using a weak motivation that only says you love diplomacy
