What the Scholarship Is
The Dahdaleh Institute created this scholarship to attract strong graduate researchers to York University. It supports research and scholarly or creative work that fits the Institute’s themes. The goal is to encourage work that answers hard health and environment questions. The work should add new knowledge and practical solutions.
The scholarship may suit you if your work links human health with the environment, humanitarian action or the future of health systems.
The Three Research Themes
Your research must fit at least one of these themes.
| Theme | What it covers |
| Planetary Health | How human health connects to the natural systems that support life. Climate related health risks. Environmental change and ecological sustainability. The effects of environmental damage on communities |
| Global Health and Humanitarianism | Health inequality. Humanitarian response. Access to healthcare. Displacement. Social factors that shape health |
| Global Health Foresighting | New trends and future challenges. New ways to help societies see and respond to health problems early |
In your application explain which theme fits your work. Show why your research matters for academic study and for real life.
