On the surface this is a standard result day. The board behind the numbers carries more weight than most people realise.

The Board That Built Four Others
BISE Multan was established on 30 March 1968. It was created the same day as BISE Sargodha. Both came from what was then Punjab’s only board BISE Lahore.
What sets Multan apart is what followed. Over the next fourteen years four boards were formed from it. Two of them were outside Punjab.
- BISE Quetta and BISE Kalat were established in 1968 in Balochistan
- BISE Bahawalpur was established in 1978
- BISE Dera Ghazi Khan was established in 1982
Multan is the only board in Punjab whose administrative line crosses provincial borders. The systems used in Bahawalpur and DG Khan still carry the influence of Multan’s early practices.

What Students Should Do Next
Clear 40 percent in every subject. That equals 220 marks out of 550. The 9th class score will form half of the final matric percentage once 10th class marks are added next year.
If a subject is marked Unsatisfactory the SSC 2nd Annual Supplementary Examination in November or December allows a retake of only the needed subjects. The academic year is not lost.
